Terms of service
Last Updated: 8/04/2026
Scope of Agreement
This Agreement is between you, the purchaser, and Homeschool Glue, referred to as the Company, and applies to any digital product purchased through homeschoolglue.com or any related domain. Our products include the Mental File Cabinet template and any other digital templates, guides, or documents offered for purchase on this site, referred to collectively as the Product or Products. By purchasing a Product, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree with these Terms, please discontinue your purchase or use of the Product immediately.
Age of Majority
By purchasing a Product, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of your jurisdiction.
Intellectual Property
All Products, including their structure, design, written content, instructional copy, and any accompanying video content, are the intellectual property of Homeschool Glue and are protected under copyright law. Purchasing a Product does not transfer ownership of that intellectual property to you. You are granted a license to use the Product as described below, and nothing more.
License to Use the Product
So long as you comply with these Terms, Homeschool Glue grants you one revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, duplicate, view, and personalize the Product you purchased, solely for your own individual household use. This license does not include the right to reproduce, copy, share, resell, sublicense, or otherwise distribute the Product in whole or in part to any third party.
You may personalize and edit the Product for your own use, including changing colors, images, wording, and structure. This permission to personalize does not expand your license in any way, does not grant you ownership of the underlying Product, and does not permit you to create derivative works based on the Product for distribution or resale.
If you violate this license by sharing, gifting, or selling access to the Product to any third party, Homeschool Glue reserves the right to revoke your access permanently, invoice you for the value of any licenses distributed without authorization, and pursue any and all damages available under the law.
If a friend or family member outside your household would like their own copy, please direct them to homeschoolglue.com to purchase their own license.
Purchase Policies and Refunds
ALL DIGITAL PRODUCT PURCHASES ARE FINAL. Because Products are delivered digitally and access is granted immediately upon purchase, we do not offer refunds once a purchase is complete, regardless of the circumstances. If you experience a technical problem accessing your Product, contact us at sarah@homeschoolglue.com and we will work to resolve the issue.
No Warranties
Products are provided as is. Homeschool Glue makes no warranty, express or implied, regarding the Product, including but not limited to any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Your use of the Product is entirely at your own discretion and risk. We do not warrant that the Product, or any platform it depends on (such as Adobe Reader or Notion), will be uninterrupted, error free, or permanently compatible with future software changes.
No Guarantees
Homeschool Glue does not guarantee any specific outcome, academic result, household result, or personal result from your use of the Product. Your experience will depend on your own use of the system, and results will vary from household to household.
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Homeschool Glue be liable to you or any third party for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your purchase or use of the Product, regardless of whether such damages were foreseeable and regardless of the legal theory under which the claim is brought.
Maximum Damages
Should any claim against Homeschool Glue be found valid despite the limitations above, your sole remedy, and our maximum liability, shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the Product giving rise to the claim.
Platform Dependency
The Mental File Cabinet is built using Notion, a third party software platform not owned or operated by Homeschool Glue . We are not responsible for changes Notion makes to its features, pricing, or availability that may affect your Product. We will make reasonable efforts to address major platform changes that affect the Product's functionality, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted compatibility indefinitely.
Updates to the Product
Homeschool Glue may update or improve the Product over time. All purchasers receive free access to future updates for the Product they purchased, for as long as that Product remains available. Updates may include new features, additional content, design changes, or improvements to existing sections. We will make reasonable efforts to notify purchasers when a significant update is available.
Support
Support for the Product is provided by Homeschool Glue directly and is intended to help you use the Product as designed. Support does not include general Notion troubleshooting unrelated to the Product, custom build requests, or support for third party tools or integrations you choose to add on your own.
Sales Tax
Any applicable sales tax will be calculated and collected at checkout in accordance with applicable law.
Disclaimer
The Mental File Cabinet is provided as a personal planning and organizational tool. It is not intended as legal, medical, financial, or educational compliance advice. You are solely responsible for verifying your own state's homeschool requirements and for any medical, financial, or legal decisions made using this Product. Homeschool Glue is not liable for decisions made based on your use of the Product.
Entire Agreement
This Agreement represents the entire understanding between you and Homeschool Glue regarding your Product purchase and supersedes any prior written or oral agreements. Any modification to these Terms must be made in writing and agreed to by both parties.
Governing Law and Venue
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of this Agreement shall be resolved exclusively in a state or federal court located in Olmsted County, Minnesota.
Dispute Resolution
Before initiating any formal legal action, the Parties agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute arising out of this Agreement through good faith negotiation. If the Parties are unable to reach a resolution through negotiation within a reasonable time, they agree to attempt mediation with a neutral third party mediator before pursuing litigation. Mediation shall take place in Olmsted County, Minnesota, unless the Parties agree in writing to a different location or format, such as a virtual mediation. Each Party shall be responsible for its own costs of participating in mediation, and the Parties shall share the mediator's fees equally. Nothing in this section prevents either Party from pursuing legal action if good faith negotiation and mediation do not resolve the dispute.
Severability and No Waiver
If any part of this Agreement is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision of this Agreement at any time does not waive our right to enforce it later.
Transfer
You may not transfer or assign your rights under this Agreement to any third party without our written consent.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Product after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
