Hi, I'm Sarah! I'm a homeschool mom of four (3 girls and 1 boy). We've been a homeschooling family for a few years and fell in love with family-style learning based on living books very early in our journey. We love studying as many subjects as we can together, doing hands-on activities, incorporating faith into every subject, and spending just as much time on things like handicrafts, nature, art, and play as we do on math and reading. I'm a former English teacher and also ran my own in-home daycare for 5 years before we started homeschooling.

I absolutely fell in love with sharing my own resources, tips, tricks, and systems as a mom online to help other moms, and have been sharing online for well over 13 years!

It's important to me that any business providing homeschool resources actually understands the needs, challenges, strengths, and struggles of homeschool families. I'm grateful to offer resources while living this same unique lifestyle right alongside every family who uses them. If something doesn't work for my family, I don't share it. Plain and simple. I love seeing my ideas come to life not only in my own home but the homes of other families across the globe. What an honor!

Why Homeschool Glue?

Two kinds of glue, one mission.

The name Homeschool Glue has a double meaning, and both halves are true.

Homeschool Glue started as the glue that holds a family together around the table: living books, shared subjects, hands-on days, the kind of learning that becomes a memory instead of just a lesson. That's still true.

But glue also holds a life together, not just a family, and that's where the systems side comes in. Being a homeschool mom is messy and sticky some days, half the time you're holding six things at once and hoping they don't all fall apart. Glue is what keeps it bound, what holds the pieces in place even when it's not pretty. That's the Mental File Cabinet, and everything we build on the systems side.

Underneath both of those is the same thing holding us together: our faith in Christ. Every resource we make and every system we build points back to Him first.

Curriculum

A few years into our homeschool, I spent months trying to find the perfect science curriculum. Something affordable, easy to implement, family-style, filled with living books, with hands-on activities built in. When I couldn't find it, that little voice kept saying "make your own." After a lot of prayer and resistance, I finally listened, and Seashore Science was born. That's how Homeschool Glue started.

Since then it's grown into Daily Riches, Buds, Blooms & Bees, Morning Menus, and more, but the heart of it hasn't changed. Every resource we make is:

Family-Style for Multiple Ages

Most of our resources work for every age at once, saving you prep time while creating meaningful moments together.

Always Easy to Implement

No fussy curricula here. Minimal materials, simple guides, open it up and go. Easy to start, adapt, change, and fit into your days.

Charlotte Mason-Inspired

Follows Charlotte Mason's principles, including living books, Christian principles, notebooking, narration, and a feast of ideas.

Systems

Long before Homeschool Glue existed, I ran a channel called Work Life Glue, all about how to plan your days, build routines that hold up under real life, and stop running on willpower alone. I've been talking about planning, systems, and routines online for over a decade now.

Once I started homeschooling, curriculum took over the spotlight for a while. But I kept watching homeschool moms, myself included, burn out trying to wear every hat at once: teacher, chef, chore coordinator, calendar keeper, etc., with no real system holding any of it up. We were surviving our weeks instead of living them.

So I built the thing I actually know how to build. Not another planner to abandon in three weeks, an actual system, and a rhythm for keeping it running. That became the Mental File Cabinet. I built it for myself but knew others would also benefit from it. I have more systems-related resources in the works!
