Every couple seasons I like to share some of our favorites that we have been loving. I have gotten such amazing ideas for products and books from other moms who share content like this, so I figure it's a way I can share some of my own favorites and maybe it will help someone. No pressure to buy anything at all. However, I do have Amazon affiliate links in this post, so if you do click and buy, every little bit helps support our family - so thank you!
I have divided these into "Mama's Favorites" and "Kids' Favorites." Some of these things we've owned for a long time and I have just realized how much we truly use and appreciate them and some are newer to us.

MAMA'S FAVORITES
- I got this beautiful vegan leather bag for Christmas and have used it quite a few times! I used it at a Charlotte Mason conference to hold my own items and my baby's who came with me. I've used it to carry curriculum when homeschooling other places like the park or doctor's office. It's gorgeous and I see it lasting me a very long time!
- We've been trying to switch out the plastics in our kitchen, so I found these inexpensive bamboo cutting boards and they were an easy switch!
- I have worn these sandals every summer for at least 4 years now. I have had to rebuy them because they have broken, but since I'm really hard on sandals, I don't want to pay more and have them break on me. I know they may last longer if I pay more, but they may also break so I'd rather get ones that last about a summer and then rebuy once they bite the dust. They are super comfortable!
- I got this gorgeous special edition Anne of Green Gables with lots of little papers and trinkets that fit with the book. I'm excited to re-read it and look at all the added items in more detail. It's SO fun and a wonderful book-lover gift!
- I've been on a mission to find some dresses that I feel great in. It's no lie that I have a hard time loving my body after having a baby. I have a hard time losing weight while breastfeeding, but I decided that shouldn't stop me from feeling beautiful from time to time. After buying and returning tons of dresses, I found a few I absolutely love at BloomChic. They are wonderful for women with curves and they have so many nursing-friendly options.
- I started reading The Common Rule by Justin Whitmel Earley after it was recommended at a women't conference at our church. I loved his Habits of the Household and didn't know he had written this book before it for adults. I'm a lover of improving my habits and time management, so I've enjoyed slowly reading this and implementing new habits into my life!
- I've loved these super soft t-shirts (and they are super cheap so I don't mind if they get wrecked as I am mom-ing) for a couple years. Nothing too special but they are very comfortable!
- I recently purchased this oil sprayer to replace buying sprays in the store. These last way longer, have no added anything, and are kind of fun to use!
- I've had this book stand for a while, but I find myself using it SO much! We keep it in our dining room on a shelf where it displays our week's picture study from Daily Riches' Art Book, but I pull it down to the table often for nature study, art, science, cooking, and any other time I need to display something. We even took it to a business fair recently to display the prices of some sensory kits my daughters were selling!
- A friend recommended this Habakkuk Bible study. I haven't done a Bible study like this in quite a long time. It will take me way longer than 6 weeks as I slowly make my way through it, but I'm really enjoying it.
- I was keeping all of our non-refrigerated produce in a large bowl on the counter and it was always overflowing. So, I upgraded to this tiered fruit basket and it has been perfect!

KIDS' FAVORITES
- We have absolutely loved using this Calendar of Firsts! Whenever we see a new flower, animal, bird, insect, etc., the girls excitedly tell me to add it to the calendar! It will be so fun to look back on over the years.
- Just like the cutting boards, I want to switch away from plastic plates for the kids. I wanted something fun in addition to some floral plates I thrifted. When I spotted these yellow ceramic plates at Hobby Lobby I had to have them! They are salad plate size and super cute. I don't think they are selling them anymore, but here's a cute set on Amazon.
- Imagine my surprise when I went through our shoes bin to see if any sandals would fit the girls this year and not only did I find a pair of sandals that fit each girl but they were still in great condition! I've purchased a few different pairs of these kids' sandals in different colors and sizes over the year and they have held up super well!
- All three of my girls have had a resurgence of loving the BrainBots Yoto cards lately! Even my 4 year old has been listening and while some of it is a little over her head, she has learned a lot and thinks they are hilarious.
- My oldest got this digital bookmark for Christmas and it's been wonderful for her to track her reading both for homeschool and just for fun.
- As we near the end of the school year and are about half way through Long Story Short by Marty Machowski which is part of our Daily Riches curriculum, it is save to say we have absolutely LOVED it! He has broken the Old Testament down into bite size chunks that allow our whole family to truly digest and understand the promises God made and fulfilled and how they all point to Jesus coming. He relates the Bible in such realistic ways for kids to understand which has really helped my kids identify with the struggles of the people in the Old Testament.
- I've been reading some books about growing up with my oldest daughter (she's 10). We are about halfway through Lies Girls Believe by Dannah Gresh and we have really loved it. It's led to some amazing conversations and truly gets to the hearts of girls.
- We have had a similar woven mat to this one for many many years. It's our go-to for picnics, beaches, and now with a baby again we pull it out to sit with him and let him lay down to do tummy time or look up at the trees. It's super durable and easy to clean!
- I added these laminated maps a couple months ago to our homeschool space (AKA our dining room on our pantry door) using these hangers and we have looked at them almost every day! I love how neutral they are but how large they are for easily finding anywhere we are looking for.
- We've had this pencil roll for a few years but it gets pulled out almost daily! I love to keep it in our homeschool space but then we can also grab it and throw it in our nature bag if we are going for a hike and want to do some nature journaling.
- Our two older daughters were given Gabb watches at the start of the school year when they were having a sale. We had tried Gizmos before and they were okay, but we really love the Gabb watches so much better. The girls use them when they play outside or go to friends' houses/away from home so we can easily contact each other if we need to.
- My daughter read a biography of Corrie ten Boom at co-op last year. We gave her The Hiding Place Graphic Novel by Corrie ten Boom with Elizabeth and John Sherrill for her birthday and she read it that week! I think it is a great option for kids to bring her story to life through images in a way that will resonate with kids but isn't too graphic.
Those are some of the things we've been loving lately! What is something your family has loved this spring and winter?
