10 Things I'm Loving Lately

It's been quite a while since I've shared any of my favorites, so here are some random favorites from the last few months! Note: this post contains Amazon affiliate links. I share only what I truly love, but appreciate any clicks or buys as they support our family!

  • Travel Sound Machine: This tiny little sound machine has come in SO handy when needing our baby to nap on the go. I don’t know why I didn’t have one of these 3 kids ago, but I’m happy to have one now as a mom of 4 with a baby who doesn’t like sleeping outside of his crib at home. For something so tiny it can get very loud!
  • Malory Towers SeriesI was looking for a wholesome series for my girls and this one has not disappointed! It’s about girl in a boarding school in England (written and set in the 40s). It’s laugh-out-loud funny SO often but also teaches so many values! We have really enjoyed the TV series too, but haven’t read all the books or seen all the episodes yet, so can’t vouch for it all completely but we have absolutely loved it and I plan to buy the entire series.
  • Timeless Series: I have been working through this series in audiobook format and have absolutely loved it! I’ve been trying to get more into reading in general (for personal purposes - I read with the kids all the time) and this has really helped! It’s about people who time-cross (spending one day in one time period and the next day in another. I love the historical aspects. It also includes romance but it’s closed door and definitely not the main point (IMO).
  • Laying Down the Rails: We haven’t officially started using this yet, but the more I look through it, the more in love with it I become. This is a habit-training curriculum/guide for families. Instead of just hoping we instill the values we want our kids to have, it’s a complete guide with readings, advice, lessons, etc. I can’t wait to start!
  • Binding Machine: This was a splurge for me this year, but considering I create curriculum and resources, I wanted to be able to add spiral binding at home instead of taking it to an office supplies store and paying for it. This one works great and has been used a ton the last month!
  • Premium 32 lb. Paper: I know paper is a weird thing to be loving, but as someone who prints many resources and has been printing planners (and used to create her own planner pages for her Filofax), I love me some good paper. I’ve been loving this particular 32 lb. paper for teacher guides and longer-lasting printables. It’s soooo smooth and thick enough to last a while.
  • Owala Water Bottle: I am not a $30 water bottle or trend-setting water bottle kind of person. I’ve been perfectly content with Camelbak water bottles for over a decade. But I just am finding them hard to clean and I couldn’t find one I liked when it was time to buy a new one. I decided to try an Owala and....I get why they are popular. I love it - easy to clean, two ways to drink, and they aren’t ugly!
  • Bissel Featherweight: We needed to replace our little sweeper vacuum we use after meals in our kitchen/dining room. Well, I saw this one being promoted because if you take the upper handle off (there are many ways to use this thing - it can also be a hand vacuum), it’s the perfect size for little kids. Our current house vacuum is top-heavy and hard for our kids to use, so this makes them helping clean up after meals so much easier (and it works better than what we used to have)!
  • The Power of Moments: I am just a few chapters in after starting this book yesterday, but it already sparked a long conversation with my husband. I LOVE creating routines, traditions, and special moments, so this is right up my alley. I absolutely love that this topic has been researched and has an entire book on it!
  • Quiet Reading Time Podcast Episode: I recently listened to Sarah Mackenzie’s podcast episode about quiet reading time. I currently have my oldest two daughters do this on their own, but I haven’t implemented a whole-family quiet reading time yet. I don’t know when we will implement this, but I loved the episode and it definitely got me thinking!

I hope you enjoyed!  What are some things you've been loving lately?
